Omaha Poker
Omaha Poker requires the players to the left of the dealer button to both post blind bets and these are equal to half the limit they are playing, this limit will be displayed by the poker room.
There will be in play a Dealer Button and the use of this is simply to determine where the action starts, once the game gets underway then this button will move
one person to the right for every new game that is dealt.
Once these blinds have been placed then the Dealer deals each player four cards face down and then it is up to the player to the left of the dealer to
now begin the betting, all of the players will in turn have the option to Call the blinds, Raise the blinds or Fold.
Once the first round of betting has been completed then the Flop will be dealt. The Flop is simply three community cards and
all players can choose to combine these to make their best poker hand.
Immediately after the Flop, the player who is sat on the left of the button may now begin the second round of betting.
Once the second round of betting is over then the Dealer turns over one more community card, this card is called the turn.
After the Dealer has dealt the turn card then the third round of betting begins and once completed then the
Dealer will turn over the final community card this card is known as the river.
Players will now be looking at five community cards and the aim for each player is to simply make the best five card poker hand.
You are obliged to make the best hand using the combination of two of your four pocket cards and any three of the five community cards.
Immediately after the river card has been dealt then the final round of betting starts and this is the players final chance to bet before the cards are all shown and a winner is .
determined, this is known as the showdown part of the game
The winner will be the one who has the best hand with the combination of two pocket cards and three of the community cards.
